I fully regret my tattoo a day later – my husband won a national spelling bee but even he didn’t notice the mistake

Occasional Digest - a story for you

A BAREFOOT queen got a tattoo to commemorate a new journey in her life, but she botched it.

Her husband was there when she got the ink, and even though he won a spelling bee, he didn’t realize the gaffe.

TikToker Christi Fritz (@christifritz) and her husband don’t wear shoes.

She wanted to get a tattoo that said “barefoot queen,” except she spelled it “bearfoot” instead of “barefoot.”

“I made a huge mistake,” Christi said about the blunder.

“I now fully regret the tattoo that I got yesterday,” she said.

Christi and her husband, Seth, live in Ohio and walk barefoot everywhere, even in stores like Sephora and Urban Outfitters.

She said it exposes them to heavy metals like arsenic, lead, and other contaminants, which helps them build immunity.

“I am so beyond thankful for this, so I wanted to remember why I started walking barefoot and stay motivated,” she said.

The TikToker thought the tattoo looked “great” after she first got it done.”

“Seth even won a spelling bee and he didn’t notice anything wrong with it,” she said.

Christi didn’t realize anything was wrong until she posted her tattoo to TikTok.

“I’m so embarrassed that we spelled barefoot wrong because barefoot walking is so common in Ohio,” she said.

I got freckles tattooed on my face and instantly regretted it, I’m desperate for them to fade, if I don’t laugh I’ll cry

“I was so excited when I got this tattoo and now I’m sad,” Chrsti finished.

People in the comments section were more concerned that Christi was walking around without shoes than with a misspelled tattoo.

“All I can think about is how easily that tattoo could get infected from walking about with nothing protecting it,” one person said.

“I’m all for barefoot walking in nature but… in some shopping centers there can be needles and glass and stuff,” a second wrote.

“Tattoo over it…with socks and shoes,” a third added.
