The animal rights organisation recently offered the former glamour model – who is bankrupt – a whopping £5K if she stopped buying animals.
Yet the arrangement does not seem to have transpired, with Katie, 45, capturing the short haired cat perched on her laptop in her recent Instagram Stories.
The sphynx cat, which is a tan-colour, sat in the middle of her keyboard making it impossible for the star to complete her admin.
In her caption, Katie joked: “Suppose to be work time.”
She later told fans she was reading some magazines, perhaps hinting the kitty had refused to budge.
Her new pet came after we exclusively reported how the mum of five had given away her latest puppy because he no longer looked cute for Instagram.
Katie is no longer owner of adorable dog Tank, after bringing him into the family home last year.
The animal was the seventh pet living in her West Sussex Mucky Mansion – yet has now been passed over to her electrician.
Peta’s proposition
The arrangement with Tank came shortly before PETA’s offer to the TV star.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has offered the TV personality £5,000 in exchange for signing a legally binding agreement promising never to acquire another animal.
PETA said that “things have gone horribly wrong with many of the animals under her supervision” – with at least seven dying, while others have been sold or given away.
In a letter to the star, they wrote: “While your intentions may be good, the ever-growing number of animals who have either died under your supervision or been given away is impossible to ignore, and people are rightly concerned.”
“Whatever you may offer as reasons for their suffering, relinquishment, or demise, the fact is that you are consistently harming these sensitive, sentient individuals, and I hope you agree that this is a solution,” the PETA Vice President Elisa Allen added.
Sad history
Back in September 2021, Katie gave away daughter Princess’ dog Precious to a crew member on herTV series.
At the time, an official petition to stop her having pets in her care reached 35,712 signatures.
It came after Peta (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) slammed Katie after the tragic death of her protection dog Blade last August.
In her defence, Katie explained police were investigating Blade’s passing after he was hit by a car.
It happened just seven months after another of Katie’s dogs, Sharon, was killed on the same road.
