The high street giant has confirmed plans to open new branches and invest and renovate more than a dozen of its existing shops.

The plans are part of Primark’s new £75million investment in its UK store estate.

New stores will open in Epsom, Surrey, and Newbury, Berkshire, in 2025.

Primark previously revealed that new shops will pop up in Bury St. Edmund, Teesside Park and Glasgow Fort and dates for their opening have finally been confirmed.

The Bury St. Edmunds shop will open on March 6, while the other stores will open later this year.

This means Primark will reach a total of 195 stores across the UK.

Alongside these openings, Primark will open some of its “biggest ever store extensions across the country”, it said.

A total of 15 existing stores will be refurbished this year, including in Cambridge, Chester and Bury.

In addition, London’s Westfield Stratford store will almost double in size to more than 81,000sq. ft to become the second largest Primark in the capital.

In the north of England, the Metrocentre in Gateshead, Tyneside, will grow to almost 80,000sq. ft of total shopping space.

Primark stores in Bradford, High Wycombe and Bolton will also move to new and improved sites.

The Sun has asked Primark when it expects these relocations to take place.

Kari Rodgers, UK retail director at Primark said: “We’re as committed as ever to offering the very best value on the high street and making great fashion more affordable and accessible for everyone.

“This latest investment will mean bigger and better stores, hundreds of new jobs across the country and shows our ongoing commitment to the UK high street.”

Primark has 190 shops in the UK and employs 30,000 people and has plans to expand to 530 shops internationally in the next four years.

It has also launched concessions at several of its locations such as a barber, a vintage range, Tasty by Greggs cafes and Disney stores in Belfast, Birmingham and Merry Hill.

It has also recreated the “Central Perk” cafe from the sitcom Friends in its Manchester store.

We visited Primark’s new vintage section where shoppers can get designer clothes like Christian Dior for as little as £20.

Plus, we tried Primark’s new self-service checkouts – shoppers will love it but not taking your receipt could catch you out.
