PNG Prime Minister James Marape will make an historic address at Parliament House after arriving in Canberra yesterday.
He’s set to become the first Pacific Island leader to deliver a speech to federal parliament.
Mr Marape is expected to praise bilateral ties, as PNG approaches the 50th anniversary of its independence from Australia.
But the visit comes ahead a looming vote of no confidence back home, amid anger over Mr Marape’s handling of January’s deadly riots in Port Moresby.
