He has scored three goals and provided 12 assists in 63 appearances for the Red Devils, but may well have played his last game for the club.

According to Foto Mac, Eriksen could join Galatasaray before the Turkish transfer window shuts on Friday.

Eriksen, who has a contract until 2025, is continuing negotiations with Galatasaray “in great secrecy”.

It is understood a loan with an option to buy is the preferred structure of the deal.

And if the move can be completed, Eriksen could even make his debut at home to Istanbul Basaksehir on Saturday.

However, if a deal is not over the line by Friday, a “promise” will be made that it will happen at the end of the season.

Eriksen joined Man Utd in the summer of 2022 after a superb six-month spell with Brentford.

Prior to his return to the Premier League, his Serie A title-winning spell with Inter Milan came to an end after he suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch during a Denmark game at the Euros in 2021.
