One woman, however, has decided to join in the ‘no pants’ trend – despite being in her sixties.
It’s not surprising that influencer Roslyn Griner has a life-long love of fashion, as her mum, Sabina, was a skilled seamstress and regularly made clothes for her growing up.
Despite her beloved mum recently passing away, the Tiktok star continues her legacy and regularly wows her 71,000 fans with her fashion, beauty and fitness advice.
Not one to miss out on a trend, the 61-year-old uses the app to show other women how to style the latest fashion including, cargo pants, leather trousers and blazers.
Whilst most older women are wanting to cover up though, this Canadian is figuring out to wear her Fendi tube top with oversized sunnies – in winter.
Proving that age is just a number, the content creator is no stranger to even the most daring trends – including the ‘no pants’ look.
Appearing on the Miu Miu runaway last year, this style involves your underwear as outwear with actor Emma Corrin even donning a pair of sparkly knickers and tights on catwalk.
Though most of us wouldn’t dream of leaving the house without our trousers, Roslyn recently gave her version of the look.
Dressed in a classic black blazer, the jacket skimmed her thighs as the content creator showed off her daring look.
Strutting her stuff in the hallway, the 61-year-old show showed off her enviable legs which peaked through her oversized blazer.
Unlike The Crown star, Roslyn opted for a pair of opaque burgundy coloured tights and stilettoes – which added a splash of colour to the monochromatic outfit.
You could hardly call her outfit boring though, with her choppy blonde locks and multiple chokers emphasising the deep V-neckline of the jacket.
Rather than simply adding a safety pin to keep everything in place, she used a large black rosette to keep the jacket from moving about.
Hitting back at trolls on her page, Roslyn then playfully wrote in the caption: “Oops. Forgot my pants. Still a trendsetter at 61!”
Viewers and fans might not be recreating the daring trend, but this didn’t stop them from gushing about it in the comments.
One wrote ‘Yes!! You are a trendsetter’, whilst another added: “What a blazer!”
It’s not the first time the influencer has hit headlines either, as she previously gone viral for her daring zebra print swimsuit.
For Roslyn though, fashion is meant to be experimented with and enjoy – even if you are over sixty.
In a pointed video about ageism, she hit back at people asking her to ‘dress appropriately’ and said: “I can dress the way I want.”
However, there is one fashion item that she will be giving up as the content creator admitted that she no longer enjoyed high heels.
She told fans: “I just wanted to be comfortable and wear my kicks.”
When she looks this good, it’s hard to argue with her.
