The Hollywood royalty married a Sex and the City actor four years ago and the couple stunned onlookers at a gala event last night.
A breathtaking blonde, Bo Derek, 67, was once branded “the most beautiful woman in the world.”
From Long Beach in California, Bo will forever be remembered in cinematic history for her iconic slow motion beach run scene with her cornrows trailing behind her.
The beach-running scene in her nude cossie won her fame in the 1979 comedy 10, when she was 22.
10 is about a man following the woman of his dreams and her husband to their honeymoon in Mexico, in hopes of winning her over.
The Blake Edwards movie catapulted her to celebrity status and she soon became more famous for her beauty rather than her acting roles.
Bo captivated the public’s imagination for years, following 10 with roles in the eighties in Tarzan, the Ape Man (1981) and Bolero (1984).
The star, whose birth name was Mary Cathleen Collins, was born in California, and met her first husband, fellow actor John Derek, when she was 17.
John was 30 years her senior, and their relationship was controversial since she was under the age of consent and he was married, with the couple relocating to Germany.
She would later say: “That still breaks my heart. Being part of breaking up a marriage is a horrible thing and I still can’t believe I was a part of it… I’ll never forgive myself and I’ll never make that mistake again. I’m forever sorry to [Linda].”
Bo starred in several movies directed by her first husband, often in borderline X-rated roles that also brought them ridicule alongside their fame.
The couple stayed together until his death from heart failure in 1998.
Bo met second husband John Corbett, who played Adrian in Sex and the City, six years later.
They were together for two decades before John, 62, revealed they finally married in secret in 2020.
Her most recent film is Five Weddings that came out June 2018.
In August 2020, the actress told USA TODAY of her now-husband, “He makes me laugh all the time.”
“He’s full of life, full of joy: I became attracted to him and I still am. We take things day by day and I think we are still there.”
