And Carter, 44, will be determined to add to his FIVE ranking titles by reclaiming his crown in Berlin.

Snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan was a hot favourite to clinch the title this year after recently coming from 4-0 down to beat Judd Trump in the World Grand Prix.

But sadly, O’Sullivan has pulled out of the German Masters for ‘health and wellbeing’ reasons.

There will be a total of £427,000 in the prize pot for the German Masters 2024.

But there is an additional £5,000 for the highest break in a match.

When is the German Masters 2024?

The German Masters 2024 is set to get underway on Monday, January 29.

And the iconic tournament will conclude on Sunday, February 4.

Tempdrom in Berlin is the allocated arena for this thrilling seven day event and it can host approximately 3,500 fans.

Ronnie O’Sullivan has hinted at retirement but the English legend confirmed that he will certainly try and qualify for the Chinese events.

O’Sullivan, 48, said: “I’m going to try and qualify for the China event because I like the China events.

“That will pretty much be me done. I’ll show up for the players because that is quite a decent tournament.”
