Apple are one of the largest and most well recognised phone brands out there and its for good reason, they provide top quality phones filled with great tech that fuses smoothly with your day to day lives.

The iPhone 13 was a huge hit with fans upon its release in 2021, while the phone is now a few generations old don’t let that fool you into believing the tech is by any means outdated.

The biggest benefit of picking up a slightly older device is that you get a great reliable, shiny new phone with great features at a few pounds lower than if you bought it on release.

Affordable Mobiles advertises the phone at £34p/m but upon a little digging you can actually pick it up from them for £31p/m on the Three network.

Tech Editor Sean Keach was lucky enough to get his hands on the device and his review was filled with high praise for the handset.

One of the most impressive things Sean found with the handset was the ‘better-than-your-TV Super Retina HDR OLED screen. It’s extremely colour accurate, and now 28% brighter (than the iPhone 12) – up to 800 nits, or 1,200 nits for HDR content’.

So you’re likely to get through a good chunk of the sizeable monthly data allowance of 300GB.

If you tend to use your phone for everything, emails, streaming, music you’ll be pleased to know the ‘A15 chip, which has 15billion transistors’ is ‘seriously fast and the iPhone 13 absolutely flies. Tests suggest it destroys Android rivals.’

The chip is joined by sizeable battery life giving you an additional 2.5 hours of battery life compared to previous itterations.

What could be most important if you’re the cameraman of your group or like to keep every moment is the triple 12-megapixel rear camera configuration that ‘shoots in Dolby Vision HDR’ meaning ‘you’ll still get the Cinematic Mode, Apple’s new Photographic Styles, selfies in Night Mode and more.’

Sean also goes on to give his overall rating along with his personal opinion on the device so check out Sean Keah’s iPhone 13 review if you want more information.

Apple has also released a few more generations of the iPhone in the previous years so it may also be worth checking to see how well the 13 holds up against its successors and if it’s worth the spend in our iPhone 13 vs iPhone 14 explainer.

While the iPhone 13 and 300GB of data is £31p/m the iPhone 14 and 300GB in comparison on Affordable Mobiles is £37p/m so it’s defo worth taking a look through the explainer to weigh up your options.

We also know not everyone has always been an Apple fan and you may be considering swapping over from Android, don’t worry we’ve covered that too in our Google Pixel 6 vs iPhone 13 face off.

Set on remaining with Android but need a new device still? There are plenty of options, if you’re after a monthly contract Senior Writer Matt Breen discovered a fantastic Three deal on the Google Pixel 8 for just £29p/m.

If you want to purchase your phone outright I also spotted the Samsung Galaxy A54 on Amazon and it’s been reduced to just £399.
