SHOPPERS have been racing to buy new crisp flavours which are inspired by a takeaway favourite.

The Golden Wonder branded snacks have been spotted in ‘chip shop curry sauce’ flavour, and also ‘salt and vinegar’.

One happy customer posted on social media: “New to Aldi £1.25.”

Shoppers quickly started tagging their pals – some saying how “lovely” the crisps were, while others were eager to get their hands on some.

One person wrote: “They are amazing – had a packet of curry yesterday polished off in one go.”

Another said: “I got some from Asda not so long ago and they had loads of flavour to them, I hope these ones are the same.”

While one happy buyer wrote: “Curry ones, love them.”

Others told their mates to “run, don’t walk” to get their hands on some, while others said: “Omg my taste buds are tingling.”

Another person said: “I need the curry ones.”

Others said the curry flavour looked “mint” and said they “needed” to try them.

It’s not unusual for shoppers to rush to Aldi to nab a deal.

The budget supermarket released new fast food alternatives before Christmas – to the excitement of customers.

One was Aldi’s new £1.75 McDonald’s burger dupes.

The Double Cheese Burger and Chicken Burger Southern Fried are the latest additions to the brand’s “fakeaway” range.

The former consists of two beef patties and sliced cheese inside a pillowy brioche bun, while the latter contains two crispy chicken tenders topped with iceberg lettuce and velvety mayo on a sesame-topped roll.

Others admitted they were obsessed with a new Walkers dupe.

Aldi’s Snackrite salt and vinegar curlers are selling for £1.29 for a multi-pack of six in stores.

The flavour is part of Aldi’s curlers Snackrite range which includes thick-cut Ridged crisps (a Mcoys dupe), a Snackrite Walkers dupe and a Snackrite family pack with bacon rashers and cheese puff dupes.

Meanwhile, The Sun yesterday exclusively revealed Aldi’s Valentine’s Day meal deal for two is coming back on shelves in welcome news to loved-up couples.

The bargain three-course meal works out at less than £4 per person and is even cheaper than last year.
