Harrison is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days ahead of completing the upcoming move on a long-term contract.

The youngster has been likened to City’s prolific goal score Erling Haaland – for both his looks and impressive goal record.

Harrison has made 10 appearances in all competitions for the club’s U18s and scored eight goals.

Newcastle’s move on the midfielder involved the club’s head of youth recruitment Paul Midgley who envisioned Harrison being a part of Eddie Howe‘s first team.

This follows as the North East club must comply with Premier League profit and sustainability rules.

And they are already in the process of offloading their star including Miguel Almiron who will leave for the Saudi Pro League.

The Paraguayan forward looks set to join Al-Shabab this month.

Having joined City’s youth project when he was just nine-years-old the Englishman’s technical ability and passing talent saw him sore through the ranks before signing a scholarship in 2022.

Despite Harrison featuring in Pep Guardiola‘s first-team training sessions, the youngster was keen to get his senior career kickstarted much sooner than City anticipated.

Meanwhile, Kieran Trippier is another player Howe is at risk of losing this month.

The full-back emerged as a shock transfer target for Bayern Munich, where he would be reunited with former Tottenham team-mates Harry Kane and Eric Dier.

And Callum Wilson is expected to stay put in the north-east this month – despite interest from Atletico Madrid.
