The popular brekkie option was axed in 2020 with foodies regularly calling for it to make a comeback.

And now McDonald’s has confirmed it will be back on menus from February 7, much to the delight of fans.

One said: “Aboot (sic) time lol,” while another in shock commented: “It is true.”

A third, tagging a friend, joked: “You’ll be first in the queue,” and a fourth added: “Looks so good.”

The breakfast wrap returns with a slight change to its recipe – there’s two free-range round, instead of folded, eggs stuff inside.

That’s combined with a pork sausage patty, slice of bacon, crispy potato rosti and slice of cheese, with either tomato ketchup or brown sauce on top.

The returning favourite will be available from £4.39 for a single item or £5.89 for a meal with a drink and hashbrown.

Remember though that prices may vary depending from restaurant to restaurant and you’ll only be able to buy it up until 11am latest.

You can find your nearest restaurant by using McDonald’s’ locator tool on its website.

The wrap will be joining a host of other breakfast menu items, including the iconic McMuffins and cheesy bacon flatbreads.

It is the first change to McDonald’s’ breakfast menu since November 2022, when the chain added the Mighty McMuffin to restaurants.

The stacked snack then made a return in March last year and has been on the menu ever since.

It comes after McDonald’s launched a new daytime menu on January 4, featuring much-loved cheesy garlic bites and two McFlurry’s.

The Steakhouse Stack burger, which fans have been begging to return since it was axed in March 2023, also returned.

Plus, the Fajita Chicken wrap, which was first introduced to menus in January 2020, was seen again in restaurants.

How to save money at McDonald’s

Research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30p cheaper at restaurants just two miles apart from each other.

So do your research before heading out to buy your favourite menu item.

Meanwhile, you can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 by filling in a feedback survey found on any old McDonald’s receipt.

The receipt should come with a 12-digit code which you can enter into the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey.

You’ll then receive a five digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer.

Make sure you check out all the various apps and platforms if you’re ordering McDonald’s to your home too.
