That was an intense 45 minutes of football. The Socceroos seemed to own the first half of that half, but Syria really were the more threatening in the second.
This is despite Australia dominating every category on offer: shots (6 v 4), possession (68% to 32%), passes (309 v 147), pass accuracy (85% to 70%) and corners (3 v 1).
