Fraudsters are targeting Australian businesses as fashion, fast food and entertainment companies are embroiled in the latest wave of credit card scams.

Known as “credit card stuffing”, scammers access online accounts of customers and make fraudulent transactions using their card details. 

The hacking scheme affects thousands of Australians who own online accounts with the following retailers: 

  • Mexican fast food outlet Guzman y Gomez
  • Alcohol retailer Dan Murphy’s
  • Streaming service Binge
  • Home shopping network TVSN
  • Event Cinemas
