The international series follows Detective Wiktor Forst, played by Borys Szyc, as he sets out to decipher a series of vicious murders in the Tatra Mountains with the help of journalist Olga Szrebskaasda, played by Zuzanna Saporznikow.

The synopsis of the six-part series reads: “When a detective’s maverick approach to investigating gets him suspended, he teams with a journalist to solve a series of brutal murders.”

After binge-watching the series and being left on the ‘craziest cliff-hanger’ ending, fans took to X(Twitter) and expressed how they felt about the show, with one user providing a detailed review of the Netflix series.

They tweeted: “A classic, brooding male detective type that we see in many crime dramas, but this title character really works much better than we expected. An absolute must-watch!”

Another asked: “Actually really enjoyed #detectiveforst wasn’t expecting that ending will there be a season 2?”

A third commented: “I just watched #detectiveForst on #Netflix, and I really need to talk about the ending, which is crazy!!! Please tell me there will be a season 2…”

A fourth said: “Just watched Detective Forst on Netflix. Lawddd, they know how to do murder series…”

Another quizzed: “How is #detectiveforst not trending?”

Throughout the series, Detective Forst and his unlikely colleague Olga Szrebska try to catch the murderer by looking back at previous unsolved killings.

Still, there is plenty of jeopardy involved because the titular character is also on the wrong side of the law.

The author, Remigiusz, 36, is credited as a writer for the series, but has made a cameo as the original victim – only seen as a corpse.

Fans of Detective Forst could be in for a second season, as there are six books in the saga written by Remigiusz,

Most recently, Netflix subscribers have been left devastated and begging, ‘see sense and bring it back!’ as their hopes for a beloved series titled The OA to be renewed for a third season have been crushed.

The last episodes of the series aired on the streaming giant in 2019, and it told the captivating story of Prairie Johnson (played by Brit Marling).

After being missing for seven years, Prairie returns to her hometown with the extraordinary ability to see despite previously being blind.

The mystery drama unfolded in two parts, with the initial eight episodes airing in 2016.

And then, in 2019, fans were hit with another eight episodes of that gripping mystery drama.

Detective Forst is available to stream on Netflix.
