Opening her Vinted tips and tricks video, the TikToker said: “I’m going to show you guys how I do my Vinted parcels, that I make quite a bit of money off”.
Vinted is an online marketplace, where people can buy and sell second hand, clothes, shoes and accessories.
Anyone can use the app, you just need to register an account, and it’s super easy to upload the items you want to sell.
Also, unlike other online marketplaces such as Depop and eBay, Vinted doesn’t take a cut of sellers’ money and instead charges buyers a small fee for purchasing items.
Sarah’s first tip is that she saves packaging from items that she buys herself and reuses it to package up the items she sells.
She said: “I never buy new packaging and I’m not afraid to say it.
“Because no money is coming out of my pocket – and people don’t mind.”
Sarah’s clever tip is not only great for recycling, but also means that you save loads of money by not having to fork out for parcels to put the clothes you sell in.
The thrifty seller’s next tip is to add a personalised touch to her orders.
Sarah said that she places a card with a cute inspirational quote into each of her orders.
She said: “I don’t care if you order a £5 T-shirt or a £35 set, you’ll get one of these”.
The Vinted pro added that she writes a small message on the cards such as “Thank you for your order, you’re going to look amazing”.
She said: “You can say that I’m sickening and cringe, but you can’t say I’m not cute for that”.
Sarah said that this small touch has worked a treat and added that many of her reviews on Vinted state that they are really thankful for the note.
She added that sometimes she even puts a small surprise such as a pack of crystals into her packages, to brighten the sellers’ day.
Sellers are likely to remember her sweet gesture and come back to her when looking to nab more bargains.
Sarah’s next tip is a no brainer.
She said: “Make sure the items you’re selling are clean. I’ve heard a few stories. You can’t send out dirty clothes, you just can’t.”
Finally, Sarah warned people not to accept offers from Vinted users who have a lot of bad reviews, as she said this “says a lot about them as a person” and they may try to get the item refunded or haggle with you.
The video is sure to have been a great help to many TikTok users, as it has racked up an impressive 119,000 views.
TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts on Sarah’s savvy tips.
One user said: “Thanks for the tips I love the little cards.”
Another user added: “So obsessed with Vinted at the moment!”
