Not only will the towels smell fresher but they’ll also become usable again.
Ashley (@ashleyelliscrawford) shared the cleaning advice with over 90,000 TikTok followers.
She explained she was tired of her smelly and scratchy towels and decided they needed a good wash.
“The BEST towel washing hack. This trick removes odors, and gets your towels back to being fluffy and absorbent,” she wrote.
First, she threw her towels in the washer and proceeded to add in her secret ingredients.
“Add in one cup of distilled white vinegar and run it on the hottest cycle possible,” she said, turning her washing up to its highest setting.
After the washer finished the cycle, Ashley hit the towels again with some baking soda on the same hot cycle.
Once the second cycle was complete, she loaded the towels in the dryer along with wool balls doused in essential oils.
“Once you take the towels out of the dryer, fold them on up and they will be smelling so fresh and so clean, good as new,” she said.
Her viewers were impressed by the household tip and the new condition of the towels.
“They look so soft!!” marveled one commenter.
