A PLUS-size woman has hit back at cruel men who try to “shame” her for her curves.
A Canadian model named Olivia, who weighs 22st 8lb and couldn’t be happier with the way she looks, told how she relentlessly deals with mean fat-shaming comments from the opposite sex.
However, taking to Instagram (@oliviasworld95), the plus size beauty shared the real reason she thinks she’s targeted by male haters…because they’re actually attracted to her.
In the snap, she could be seen flaunting her figure in a skimpy bra top and figure-hugging leggings as she tucked into a sandwich.
Alongside the image, she penned: “Isn’t it ironic that the type of woman you claim to be unattracted to keeps showing up on your feed?”
“I definitely think there’s something psychological at play when people online seek out fat bodies just to criticise and shame them.”
She goes onto say the most of the mean comments she receives are from straight men who have photos or videos of their wives and children on their profiles.
Olivia continued: “I always wonder, ‘If my body is so disgusting to you, why are you always here looking at it?’
“I think it’s because they are angry that they’re slightly attracted to me since they believe conventionally, they shouldn’t be, and therefore must degrade me to regain that sense of power they lost in their feelings of embarrassment and shame for that attraction.
“Just a hypothesis of mine…”
The brunette beauty then went on to reveal how she came up the theory.
She concluded: “However, when I’m feeling adventurous, I’ll respond to a body-shaming comment with a ‘Aww thanks’ and they immediately switch up and try to flirt with me. Is my hypothesis correct, then?
“Since I know how algorithms work, the last thing I’ll ever do is engage with the content from someone who I deem unattractive.
“I guess these people don’t know how algorithms work and sit in confusion when there are so many fat women on their ‘for you page’.
“Anyways… I filmed a what I eat in a week video and will be posting it this week on my YouTube channel in bio (yes this sandwich that I’m holding is involved in the video).”
It wasn’t long before the post went viral, racking up thousands of likes and comments, with many quick to agree with Olivia on her hypothesis.
“You are spot on! The hate I received a few days ago was hilarious given that they were following me and many others with curves,” wrote one.
A second praised: “Oo love this hypothesis! I think it’s bang on!”
A third commented: “You are pretty damn awesome!! Sometimes people have nothing better to do than to try and put down others for no reason. I’ll never understand it.”
Meanwhile, a fourth noted: “An absolute masterpiece.”
Another chimed in: “Homegrown Bodies 4Eva the REAL champions – nothing but pure beauty!”
