And they documented their opening of the bag of goodies in a video on their TikTok page.

“I’m really excited for this because it’s one of my favourite places,” Lily said.

“It’s quite a heavy bag and it’s all warm as well – the bag’s really hot, so we’ve got hot food!”

The first thing Lily pulled out of the bag was a barbecue pulled pork and pickles hot ciabatta.

“I don’t like pickles so those will be coming off but other than that…” she said.

“And the bread looks amazing as well!”

Next was a kale and cauliflower macaroni cheese, which looked “delicious”, Lily said.

“It’s got loads of crispy cheese on the top and crispy kale. It looks really nice and cheesy and tasty,” she grinned.

She then pulled out two pots of soup, both of which were the lasagne soup from Pret’s new menu.

“Ooh, interesting!” Lily said.

I don’t know what a lasagne soup is but I’m willing to give that a try because I like lasagne and I like soup.

“It sounds really nice!”

She took a whiff of the pot and added: “It smells just like homemade lasagne, which is really exciting.”

Concluding the video, Lily said she was “really, really happy” for what she’d received in the £4 bag – which worked out to be worth £24.30.

“One of these things would be double that at Pret because it’s quite pricey,” she pointed out.

“So I’m really happy with that!”

“This might be our best value for money bag yet!” Lily added in the caption.

“It’s a good idea, use it here in Cornwall with local bakers to get bread, bakes and of course pasties!” one person commented on the video.

As another added: “So good! I heard they have a new menu too.”

“Yes!” Lily replied.

“The lasagna soup is one of the new additions and it was incredibly delicious!

“Definitely recommend!”

“That’s a bargain!” a third insisted.

To which Lily said: “We were so happy with it!”
