The 16-year-old prodigy faced the 2018 world champion in the last four at Alexandra Palace on Tuesday.
After coming back from a set down to lead 2-1, Littler produced a 149 checkout to take the advantage in the fourth set.
He hit triple 20, triple 19 and double 16 to the delight of the Ally Pally crowd.
The teenager then lapped up the atmosphere as he shrugged and raised his arms in celebration.
Reacting to the checkout on social media, one fan wrote: “Luke Littler I am on my feet applauding.”
Another added: “He is simply the best.”
A third viewer also commented: “How is he so good under pressure?!”
Meanwhile, one more said: “Outstanding once again.”
Littler has been the breakout star of this year’s PDC World Darts Championship after romping into the last four.
The World Youth Champion has beaten the likes of Raymond van Barneveld and Brendan Dolan on route to the semis.
He has become an instant fan-favourite at Ally Pally, putting himself within touching distance of becoming world champion and pocketing £500,000 in prize money.
Away from the oche, Littler is supported by a close inner circle, which includes his parents, sister Caitlin and girlfriend Eloise.
