But she soon eclipsed her mum and dad and has since forged a lucrative career as a telly star and presenter.

She won the ITV jungle show in 2016 and has gone on to star in a number of programmes, including the I’m a Celebrity companion show Extra Camp as a co-presenter and Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

The mum-of-one appeared in Channel 4 documentary The British Tribe Next Door, alongside her family in a four-part series living within a remote Namibian village.

This year was on the box in Pilgrimage: Road to Scottish Islands, Britain’s Tourette’s Mystery: Scarlett Moffatt Investigates and Scarlett’s Driving School about her battle as a learner motorist.

Books filed this week for her telly firm Northern Unicorn Limited give a snapshot of her wealth.

The outfit shows cash of £1.1m and the books also reveal that she’s been banking an income of around £10,000-a-week over the last two years.

The star is also in demand for lucrative tie-ins with firms in return for posts for her 2.5m Instagram followers.

Scarlett, 33, set up Northern Unicorn Productions Ltd in January 2017 to handle cash from her TV and commercial work.

And her latest set of figures make good viewing for the TV fave, who also summarised the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for BBC radio.

Scarlett revealed during her stint in the Aussie jungle that she’d been able to pay off the mortgage on her parents’ house in County Durham with her new-found earning power.

Talking about paying the cash on the house in Bishop Auckland, she revealed: “I paid off the mortgage on my mum and dad’s house for them.

“Oh, it was the best. I just wrote them a letter and said, ‘thanks for being mint’, and ‘sorry for leaving fake tan all over the house’, and then I put a cheque in for them.”
