WHEN it comes to New Year’s resolutions, everybody has different ideas of success.

For some it might be finding love, others getting fitter, or even travelling the world.

But occasionally people have plans so unexpected that others can’t believe it.

That’s the case for marketing worker Polly Arrowsmith, who has decided that 2024 will be the year she poses nude for a photoshoot.

The 57-year-old, from London, says: “I always look back at old photos and think, ‘you looked good.’

“I never felt attractive when the photos were taken as I had doubts about my looks.

“I know I looked good naked at 35 now, as I found a photo my ex took.

“I had seen a naked shoot in an article in Style Magazine and had booked the session with the same photographer.

“Now I regret not going ahead with it.”

Polly adds: “I want to celebrate my body being okay because I will look back when I am 65 and 75 and think I looked good then.

“I also want to celebrate being healthy.

“Being nude will encourage me to tone up properly.

“My body reacts well when I do pilates. If I have a goal, it will encourage me to exercise and eat well.

“I eat too much sugar – chocolate is a food group. It meant a blood test came back as 41, which is pre-diabetes – I had had chocolate for breakfast right before the test.

“I am not overweight, at 47kgs and 5 ft 1′ but toning up will mean I will also get into certain clothes that are too tight.

“It’s a win-win all around.”
