The next cheapest chain is Morrisons, which is selling the same-size tub for £5, then Sainsbury’s which has it in stock for £5.50.

Meanwhile, M&S basic all butter mince pies are on sale on Ocado for £1.25 instead of £2.50.

Iceland is selling a basic six-pack for £1.25, but they’re not all butter.

Ocado has also reduced a number of other mince pies, including puff pastry and frangipane, by up to 50% as well.

Shoppers can get discounts on vegan and organic varieties too.
