Occasional Digest - a story for you

ROYAL fans have been gushing over an adorable moment that happened between Prince George and Mike Tindall on Christmas Day.

The 10-year-old prince was walking past well-wishers as he left St Mary Magdalene’s Church on the Sandringham Estate – and Mike affectionately put his arm around him for a huge hug.

The sweet moment showed the close bond George has with former rugby player Mike, who is married to Prince William’s cousin, Zara Tindall.

And it wasn’t the only time we saw the close bond between the Tindalls and the Wales family yesterday.

Prince Louis was seen gripping Mia Tindall’s hand as he followed Prince William into the Christmas Day service, next to Princess Kate, Charlotte and George.

Mia is Zara and Mike Tindall‘s first daughter.

She is 22nd in line to the British throne, following her mother Zara in the line of succession.

Mike previously revealed he plays beer pong with Kate Middleton, although joked she needs to work on her technique if she is to beat him.

The dad-of-four, who came in fourth place on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2022, retired from Rugby back in 2014 after a 17-year career.

Yesterday’s Christmas Day service was a private, intimate gathering for the family.

The family then left church and headed back to Sandringham for a traditional Christmas dinner.

The royals’ Christmas Day celebrations at Sandringham begin with breakfast.

Former chef to the Queen Darren McGrady revealed that some members of the family have a full English – but that “married women” have something lighter brought up to their rooms.

Christmas lunch includes “salad with shrimp or lobster” followed by turkeys and Christmas pudding.

It comes after The Princess of Wales led her Christmas Eve special at Westminster Abbey – attending alongside her family and famous faces from the music world.

The festive get-together included performances from stars like Beverley Knight, Freya Ridings, and James Bay.

By Kate’s side were Prince William, who gave a bible reading, and the three Kids.

Stealing the hearts of the nation as always, young Louis sang Joy to the World with his siblings.

The theme of Kate’s annual telly spectacular was ‘children and families’ coming after the princess launched her Shaping Us project to help the under 5s this year.
