Marie Theobald, 48, was walking pets Riley and Honey when she was mowed down by a white Seat Leon.
Tragically she couldn’t be saved and was declared dead at the scene alongside the two dogs in Chigwell, Essex, on Friday.
Marie’s family have now paid tribute to the mum in a heartbreaking statement.
They said: “Marie was a loving mother, daughter, sister, niece and friend.
“Marie was an honest, hardworking, selfless woman who would do anything for anyone. Marie always put others first.
“The dogs Riley and Honey were much loved members of the family. They adored Marie as she adored them. May they all rest in perfect peace together.”
The Met Police confirmed the driver failed to stop, with the car discovered nearby shortly after the crash.
A man has been arrested and remains in custody.
