According to the team of automotive experts over at Vanarama, drivers can use hairspray – an item that can cost as little as 89p – to pick up crumbs, sand, fine gravel or even glitter from inside their motor’s interior.

Even the smallest bit of glitter falling from a Christmas decoration can leave the inside of your car looking like a glitter ball.

Some drivers even decorate their cars for the festive season, which can result in a big clean-up operation in the new year.

This simple method works using a paper towel with hairspray sprayed onto it to dab up any crumbs or glitter inside your car.

As the hairspray has a sticky texture, the glitter should stick to it.
