The thirteen-year-old lad returns to Emmerdale in upcoming scenes and makes an explosive discovery. What will it mean?
Viewers were introduced to a new hard-hitting storyline earlier this year when Gail Loman (portrayed by Rachael Gill-Davis) received shocking news from a mystery woman named Sophie (Martha Cope).
The ITV soap dropped two bombshells on its fans, the first one being that Gail had a son fathered by her partner Ryan Stocks (James Moore).
However, the second set of news was more worrying as Sophie announced to Gail that her son, Oscar, had been diagnosed with aplastic anaemia and he needed an urgent bone marrow transplant.
Although she’d initially planned to keep things a secret from Ryan, Gail eventually had no choice but to tell him about his son and the illness he was suffering from.
Ryan was crushed, comforted by Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) in the Woolpack as he tried to come to terms with the news.
But when the pair paid Oscar a visit in hospital, both were stunned to see how well they were bonding with him almost immediately, hinting to soap fans they may even want to be a more prominent part of his life.
Unlike Ryan, Gail was found to be a match for Oscar and once she was prepped for surgery with her son, the young couple were eager for the fresh start awaiting for them.
Unfortunately, Sophie caught on quickly that Gail and Ryan were getting attached to Oscar and intervened, leaving the young boy forced to wave them goodbye.
Yet in scenes due to air ahead of the new year, Sophie’s scheming becomes clear to both Oscar and Gail as the lad comes back to the Dales.
Both characters are in shock when they realise Sophie lied to them both about wanting to see one another.
What will they do?

Marlon Dingle was the first to warn Gail and Ryan about their budding friendship with their son.
The Woolpack chef predicted they would have to tread lightly around Sophie, particularly as they shouldn’t be in contact with either her or Oscar.
But how far will Sophie go to keep Oscar away from Ryan and Gail?
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV.
