Amanda Serrano (right) has won four successive fights since losing by split decision to Ireland’s Katie Taylor in April 2022

Amanda Serrano will co-headline with Jake Paul when she defends her featherweight world titles against Nina Meinke on 2 March.

The fight against Germany’s Meinke will take place over 12 three-minute rounds in Serrano’s native Puerto Rico.

Serrano vacated her WBC title this month after the organisation refused to sanction that format for her bout with Danila Ramos in October.

“I’m excited to prove my greatness and make history again,” said Serrano.

The 35-year-old beat Ramos by unanimous decision to retain her WBA, WBO and IBF titles in the first women’s fight over 12 three-minute rounds since 2007.

Meinke, 30, said: “Amanda Serrano is an outstanding person who has already made such a big change to women’s boxing and the fight for equal rights, so I am more than proud to be a part of that movement.

“I am going to support it with all my heart and show the world women are just as capable in going 12 rounds at three minutes.”

YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul’s opponent has not been announced.

American Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton, a 17-year-old Hollywood actor who features in the TV show Euphoria, will make his professional boxing debut on the card.

Puerto Rico’s WBO light-flyweight champion Jonathan Gonzalez will make his third title defence, while 21-year-old Serrano protege Krystal Rosado is set for her third professional fight.
