Sephora, a French beauty retailer, is set to open its third UK store in Manchester next summer, marking the first store in England’s north.
Sephora sells 340 types of makeup and other beauty products, including Glossier, GXVE by Gwen Stefani, and Haus Labs by Lady Gaga.
The new store will be a megastore and is set to open in the city’s Trafford Centre.
Sephora announced the opening in an Instagram post, writing: “You heard correctly — Sephora is coming to the TRAFFORD CENTRE, MANCHESTER.
“Get your shopping baskets ready as we’re on our way up north! More to be revealed soon, see you in 2024… ”
The clip shows comments left by Sephora fans in the north of England begging for the store to open a location there and ends with Sephora UK saying it was listening to fans.
Sarah Boyd, Managing Director at Sephora UK, said: “We are extremely excited to bring Sephora to Manchester, one of the most vibrant cities for beauty in the UK.
“Expanding our presence beyond London is something that consumers have been screaming out for, and we are listening hard to them when deciding where to go next!
“The Trafford Centre, known for its iconic atmosphere and diverse retail offering, is the perfect location for our third store.”
Commenters online were excited about the news.
“So pleased we will have one in Manchester. Previously have bought Saphora products in Paris & Prague,” said one commenter.
“Can’t wait for this to open love this shop can’t come sooner,” said another.

The opening of the third store comes soon after the second store opened in November.
The East London store in Westfield Stratford spans over a mega 600sqm, offering over 100 brands to eager customers.
Sephora originally opened its first UK store at Westfield London, Shepherds Bush, in March after the launch of its website and app in autumn 2022.
The West London store spans over a mega 600sqm, offering over 100 brands to eager customers.
There is a huge range of 135 brands available in the first store.
