Occasional Digest - a story for you

Ok..

So we’ve had Donald Trump attending the UFC fights, fellow presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy entering the arena alongside Jake Paul and some kind of silver Transformer escorting everyone inside like a big shiny bouncer.

Feel like I’m describing a dream I had.

Yoenis Tellez vs Livan Navarro

Livan Navarro is hanging on by a thread here after Round 3.

He was knocked to the deck with a colossal right and manages to beat the count. He decides to throw caution to the wind with some wild shots before taking a couple of blows just before the bell rang.

Footage

So this was what I was talking about earlier.

Just watching it again, perhaps Joshua Temple isn’t celebrating but showing that he’s still got plenty of juice left to fight.

Either way, the referee make the correct decision to stop the fight in favour of Lorenzo Medina.

Hold the phone, this isn’t going to script.

Yoenis Tellez is the 1/20 favourite but it’s the 9/1 underdog Livan Navarro pressing. He’s the hunter. Just as I write that, Tellez hits back with two strong shots to send a clear message — would be surprising if this goes the full ten rounds.

Yoenis Tellez vs Livan Navarro

Pretty interesting opening round in this contest between the two Cubans. Yoenis Tellez is the favourite but the experienced Livan Navarro stunned him with around 90 seconds left on the clock but didn’t go for the jugular.

I’m hungry

Hungry? Not me. I’m tearing into a discounted pack of Apple Yum Yums.

Yes the ones with a yellow sticker that expired yesterday – and what?!

Anyway, It’s pretty clichéd but underdog Andre August has rolled out the ‘I want it more’ line ahead of this contest.

He said: “I don’t talk very much. I’m all about that action. Jake Paul has the money, the fame, the team and the resources, but he doesn’t have my hunger.

“When that bell rings, I am going to go straight to Jake Paul and ring his bell and send him back to YouTube for good.”

I’m hungry for a lottery win but it doesn’t feel like that’s going to boost my chances.
