Occasional Digest - a story for you

WITH Christmas just days away, households up and down the country are checking over their food lists for the big day.

And now there’s another item to be added to the top of them, as Tesco currently have an incredible offer where you can nab almost half price Pringles.

The Pringles' Clubcard price is £1.252

The popular crisp brand is usually priced at £2.25, but for a limited time only Tesco customers can now get their hands on a tube for £1.25.

So do you do it?

All you need is a clubcard that can be scanned at the supermarket’s checkout and the offer is all yours up until Sunday 31st December.

So it’s no wonder that the packets of Pringles, which come in a variety of flavours from Salt and Vinegar to Texas BBQ Sauce, are currently flying off of shelves.

One savvy shopper was among the first to notice the crisps’ new price point, and she decided to let other bargain hunters in on the secret too.

She posted a screenshot of Tesco’s website showing the £1.25 clubcard price in the Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK.

Almost immediately, she was flooded with comments, as foodies said they needed to get to Tesco quickly before they all sold out.

One person wrote: “Must get stocked up!”

Another added that they were considerably cheaper than in other shops and that they’d be trying to get a selection for their festive feast.

They said: “Ooh, that’s a bargain!”

While another social media user tagged one of their friends and wrote: “Your prayers have been answered.”

They then replied: “Yes they have! [I’m going to] Tesco at some point this weekend to top up my B&M stash.”

This comes after Tesco had a similarly great deal on tubs of Cadbury’s Heroes, which saw customers take home the sweet treat for under £2.

The popular chocolate, now synonymous with Christmas time, had been slashed down to £3.89 for those, again, with a clubcard.

But one clever shopper tracked down a way  of saving even more money off the box, which includes chocoholics’ favourites like Dairy Milk and Wispa.

Revealing her money-saving hack, the woman revealed that if you were a Sky VIP customer, you could take advantage of their offer for £2 off of any chocolate purchased from Tesco.

Sky VIP is available for Sky customers only and can be accessed through the My Sky app in the Festive Night in voucher section.

So once you had generated the code and used the discount, the 550g tub scanned for just just £1.89 – saving even more cash for your other food.
