Shay, 28, describes herself as a “creative Mama” who is on a journey with grey hair, but not everyone agrees that she should let it grow out.

Taking to her social media, Shay posted a clip where s he gave herself a haircut, but people were taken aback by the colour of her mane.
“It’s been eight months since I stopped dying my gray hair,” she wrote over the clip.
Raking her hand through her hair, viewers could see that the roots were grey, while the rest of it was a brunette shade.
She then proceeded to give herself “a trim”, adding: “This is not a tutorial because I actually don’t know what I’m doing”.

Splitting her hair into two sections, she tied them together at the front before cutting the ends off with a pair of scissors.
After realising the ends were not even, she then put it into a ponytail and attempted to correct the issue.
She said: “My hair is wavy so it usually hides my mistakes,” followed by a crying with laughter emoji.
TikTok user @shay_creates then used a pair of thinning scissors to help her “ponytail headaches”.
After showing off the finished the results, she wrote in the caption: ““The difference between a bad haircut and a good haircut is two weeks” -my Dad”.
Shay was met with mixed reviews over her hair as one person commented: “omg you NEED to do those roots you look about 60”.
Another said: “Go to a hairdresser… Your hair is too beautiful for you to mess it up”.
While a third added: “Try dying it. Maybe go to a professional”.
But Shay doesn’t appear to care as she’s on a ‘grey hair journey’ and thinks it looks ‘fabulous’.
Others, however, were all for this as one person said: “Not sure why so many ppl are telling you to color your grays. I think your hair is gorgeous!”
Another wrote: “ok, you’re brave .. and it looks good! I stopped dying 3 years ago too, best decision ever!”
While a third added: “Looks fabulous”.
