Police are searching for a man and a woman after an alleged attempted abduction in Melbourne’s CBD last month.
Investigators said a 14-year-old girl was walking along Hosier Lane about 10:30am on Wednesday, November 15, when she was approached by a man she did not know during a school excursion.
They said the man allegedly attempted to drag the teenager down the lane with him before a bystander interfered, pretending to be a teacher in order to free the student.
The girl was not physically injured during the incident.
Police said the man was with a woman.
The man was described as having dark-coloured skin and a slim build.
He was reportedly wearing black sunglasses, dark long pants, a dark hoodie with a red hood and black shoes with white soles.
He was carrying a black backpack and black bum bag.
The woman was perceived to be Asian in appearance, with a solid build and long black hair.
She was wearing a purple puffer jacket, a beige or light pink T-shirt, blue jeans and white and fluoro orange shoes and had a blue backpack.
Police have asked anyone with more information to contact Crime Stoppers.
