In fact, one mum has husband-shamed her spouse after he forgot to put a single present in her stocking on Christmas Day.

Like many busy mums, Aubree Jones had spent months organising the perfect Christmas for her five daughters and husband, Josh.
With the house full to the brim with presents, it seemed like the family were all set for the big day – or so they thought.
As the little ones piled in and began unwrapping everything, Josh filmed his family’s excitement when he noticed a single empty stocking left on a sofa.
However, it still didn’t dawn on the hapless dad what had happened, with him asking: “Whose is this?”
Turning to his wife, he continued to film and then says: “Is this an extra one?”
“No that’s mine,” Audrey pointedly explained, adding: “Santa didn’t come for me.”
Though she laughs, it’s a painfully awkward moment as the mum takes the stocking from her husband and tries to brush off the incident.
The mum-of-six later shared the short video on Tiktok and in the caption revealed that it he had taken him about ’10 years’ to notice it was been empty.
She then cheekily called the video a ‘PSA’ for husbands everywhere and warned them to remember their wives before the big day.
Whilst the video was tongue-in-cheek and she later shared a video of her lavish gifts, including Beats headphones and UGGs, the video has rapidly gone viral online.
Gaining over 9 million views within days of being posted, the comments continue to hit out at the forgetful hubby.
Some users even shared their own painful memories of past Christmases, with one saying that this had happened to them previously.
“One Christmas my husband didn’t get me anything, he didn’t even help me pick out gifts for our kids,” they recalled, adding: “That was our last Christmas together…”
Another explained that their mum had also been forgotten at Christmas, saying: “I still remember the year I realized my mom would never get any. I was feeling everyone’s on Christmas eve and her’s had nothing.”
Heartbreakingly, the user decided to fix this by adding a last minute gift – by looking through their childhood bedroom.
They explained: “I went in the closet and found a random snow globe and put it in there. I was around 10, she never said anything.”
A third wrote: “I haven’t gotten a single present under the tree in 15yrs. I can’t tell you the last time I actually got a gift for anything. You become numb.”
“‘Like how is he not embarrassed,” asked a fourth, after the short clip.
For Aubree though, she doesn’t seem to mind and even explained later that ‘everyone’ was more upset than her.
In the caption of her follow up video, she wrote: “It’s nice to have a stocking, but I wasn’t bothered by it. That’s why I laughed when he pointed it out.”
The mum-of-six added: “He won’t forget my stocking this year.”
