EMMERDALE fans have predicted a steamy new affair twist as Ethan Anderson turns evil.

Recent episodes of the ITV soap saw Ethan – played by Emile John – thrown in jail after he helped Suni Sharma when he was attacked on a night out with his boyfriend Nicky Miligan.

Despite his heroic act, the solicitor was fired from his job over what happened, and some fans think that – combined with the fact Suni and Nicky aren’t seeing eye to eye at the moment – could draw him closer to Suni.

Taking to X – formerly Twitter – one Emmerdale fan wrote: “I think Ethan and Suni could happen at some point.”

Another replied: “BINGO. Me too.”

A third tweeted: “After what seems like forever they’re starting to make Ethan’s character a tad interesting. I wonder if he and Suni will get together.”

Meanwhile a fourth shared: “I have a feeling that there’s going to be a love triangle, involving Suni, Ethan and Nicky.”

Ethan certainly might be about to show a different side to him, after Emile teased what’s to come for his character at the Inside Soap Awards.

He said: “He has a very strong moral code, and perhaps, in the future we’ll see him take on a bit more of an insidious role, see a lawyer go rogue.”

He could be taking a leaf out of his dad Charles’ book, after the vicar showed a darker side of himself this year.

Emile said: “I think it’s been really nice to see, he plays a vicar, holier than thou, so it’s nice to see a darker side of Charles.”

Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.
