Despite most department stores giving them away, one woman was kicked out of Sephora for taking her sampling to extreme lengths.
If you’ve not been on Tiktok recently, you might have missed this viral video of influencer Bloom Babe getting much more than a regular sample.
Better known as @perfumehacks101 online, the influencer has amassed over 1.2 million views for her perfume ‘hack’ – although we really don’t advise that you try this.
Rather than simply asking for a sample, the Tiktoker brought a mini perfume atomiser and decides to fill it up using a tester bottle of Flowerbomb by Victor & Rolf.
Given that the designer scent costs over £70, you’d think she would try to be discreet about her devious hack.

Instead, the influencer taps her extra-long nails on the bottle and even films herself in the middle of the shop floor.
Of course, it’s not long until a Sephora employee catches her in the act.
In fact, their awkward interaction is even caught on camera which makes for toe-curling viewing as the content creator struggles to respond.
“What are you doing?” asks the employee, who is clearly annoyed despite her face not being visible.
Shockingly, the influencer tries to continue before being told off yet again.
“No. What are you trying to do?” the Sephora employee pointedly says, as she interrupts Bloom Babe for a second time.
“Oh, I can’t do this?” she says, desperately trying to brush off the incident.
To which, the employee bluntly responds: “Please stop that or leave the store.”
Unsurprisingly, the influencer decides to make her getaway and it’s not for the first time either.
The content creator regularly goes viral with videos of her ‘hack’ and has tested it out at multiple stores, including Ulta.
Despite the shocking footage though, some commenters have sided with the influencer.
“It’s the same concept as going to a buffet,” one argued, saying: “Eat as much as you want there, just don’t bring food home.”
Others even joked about how much money they could save with the ‘hack’, with another adding: “I spent $170 for my bottle of perfume… Why the hell am I just NOW seeing this.”
A third then wrote: “I would’ve kept going while she was talking.”
Like most of us though, the majority of users were unimpressed with the influencer’s behaviour.
“It’s like the kids that take the whole candy bowl when the sign says ‘take one’,” complained a fourth.
Many also noticed that shops have tightened their security, especially after other influencers have used similar ‘hacks’.
“This is why most Ultas don’t have testers,” commented a fifth, adding: “…or they do but you have to ask cause people with atomizers are technically stealing the liquid.”
We guess some people just have to spoil it for everyone else, eh?
