A 70-year-old from Uganda has become one of the world’s oldest mum’s after giving birth to TWINS thanks to IVF.

She told Uganda’s Daily Monitor the births are a “miracle” despite her partner abandoning her.

The septuagenarian explained: “Men don’t like to be told that you are carrying more than one child.

“Ever since I was admitted here, my man has never showed up.”

Staff at Women’s Hospital International and Fertility Centre hailed the IVF a “medical success”.

They insisted the births were “about the strength and resilience of the human spirit”.

Fertility drops around the ages of 45 and 55 when women go through the menopause.

But medical advances have made it possible for them to give birth.

Remarkably, the twins are Safina’s second delivery in just three years – having given birth to a girl in 2020.

She wanted children after being mocked for being childless.

A 74-year-old from India is thought to have given birth to twin girls in 2019.

Erramatti Mangayamma, from Hyderabad, reportedly conceived through IVF and gave birth by caesarean.
