She gave viewers a glimpse of the space before she gave it a simple makeover.
In her video, Catherine (@itsneutralcatt) revealed her bathroom’s renter-friendly glow-up.
The TikToker showed her followers the “small bathroom DIY on a budget.”
When Catherine moved into her home the windowless box bathroom had plain gray walls.
She marked off the surface with blue tape to measure out potential panels and a dado rail.
Catherine also removed the towel rail from the wall behind her toilet.
As she transitioned to her new and improved bathroom, she showed off her modifications.
She added a beige dado rail halfway up the walls with reeded paneling.
“The reeded detail is my favorite part and it was so easy to cut and install,” Catherine said.
On the upper part of her walls, she used a cream wallpaper with a beige floral stencil.
She also brightened up the room by adding gold vanity bulbs over her bathroom mirror.
Catherine pointed out an additional benefit to her simple bathroom DIY transformation.
“[It’s] rental friendly, just don’t use glue only use brad nails,” she explained.
“Once you move take it off the walls, fill with some spackle,” she advised.
To add another splash of color, Catherine accessorized the room with a gold basket with a floral arrangement.
The gold bathroom sink faucet and toilet paper holder also matched the aesthetic.
Catherine’s followers took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the bathroom makeover.
“Obsessed. This is so simplistic yet so bomb,” wrote one impressed TikTok user.
“That is GORGEOUS! Nice job!” commented another viewer.
