The actor was arrested early Friday morning after authorities received a call about a vehicle blocking the road on Beverly Drive near Dayton Way around 5:45 a.m., according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.
Police said they found Haddish inside the car. She had performed just hours earlier at the Laugh Factory as part of a Thanksgiving event, according to media reports.
No injuries were reported. Police said she is expected to appear in court in about 30 days.
It was the second time since early 2022 that Haddish had been in police custody. Last year, the Emmy and Grammy Award winner was arrested in Peachtree City, Ga., south of Atlanta, after police received a call about a driver who had allegedly fallen asleep at the wheel.
Haddish was detained and charged with driving under the influence in that case. She later posted $1,666 bond and was released from the Fayette County Jail. She had reportedly been filming a movie in the Atlanta area at that time.
The actor has starred in several TV and film projects this year, including Disney’s “Haunted Mansion” and the second season of Apple TV+’s “The Afterparty.”
