And EastEnders actress Patsy, 55, a self-confessed hopeless romantic who has been wed four times, has given it another shot.

An insider revealed: “Patsy loves being in a relationship and there are many things she likes about Patric so she has been quietly seeing him again to see if they can make it work.

“It’s still early days, but they have been enjoying each other’s company again.

“Patric is very extravagant and loves to take Patsy out for nice dinners and shower her with gifts and has vowed to treat her like a princess. They decided they had too much to lose not to give their romance another go.”

Before their split, we told how Patsy — in BBC’s Death in Paradise Christmas special next month — was distressed at a charity bash when Patric snatched her diamond engagement ring from her hand in a row.

He proposed in September last year at Scott’s fish restaurant in London’s Mayfair and bought fellow diners Champagne when she accepted.

In February, Patsy put photos on Instagram of Patric on one knee at a beach, making the engagement “official”.

Last year, he was branded a love rat by an ex who claims he was seeing her until his proposal to Patsy.

Mother-of-two Patsy, a former model and singer with pop band Eighth Wonder, has been wed to Big Audio Dynamite musician Dan Donovan, Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr, ex-Oasis singer Liam Gallagher and DJ Jeremy Healy.

She played Sadie King in Emmerdale from 2004-06.
