Jamie, 32 has been on an emotional roller coaster since arriving at the camp.

She’s been missing her daughters Maddie and Ivey a lot, and it’s been tough for her to put on a brave face and adjust to camp life.

But now, Jake Quickenden, a former contestant of I’m A Celeb, has spilled the beans on a secret move by ITV bosses to ensure the actress couldn’t escape Australia.

Jake who was almost crowned King of the Jungle back in 2014 told the Mirror.co.uk, he reckons viewers might have missed this sneaky trick.

The alleged plan that was meant to be foolproof went completely awry, and viewers got a front-row seat to the chaos during Tuesday night’s episode.

According to Jake, it seems like the frantic producers hatched a cunning plan to keep Jamie, who was in a highly emotional state, from making an exit.

Jake added, that the bosses likely threw in a task as a clever distraction.

It comes after viewers complained last night that the “luxury item” task came far too early this year,.

The celebrities ended up winning their comfort prizes just three days in.

Jake believes it was a clever tactic to win over Jamie Lynn, who was longing for a glimpse of her beloved children.

The I’m A Celeb runner up said the producers might have offered her a photograph as a way to keep her engaged and prevent her from leaving.

However, the situation quickly went wrong when Danielle Harold, Sam Thompson, Grace Dent, and Marvin Humes accidentally let slip Jamie Lynn’s cherished luxury item during the challenge.

This left poor Jamie completely distraught and in tears.

She then threatened to quit the show, telling bosses she wanted to “go home”, and telling her co-stars: “I quit”.

But as the episode progressed, she had a change of heart and decided to stay.

Jake explained that the goal of the personal item challenge was to “keep Jamie Lynn happy,” and that winning would have “cheered her up a little bit” and “stopped her from leaving.”

“The last thing you want is someone leaving on day three, but it did seem early for the luxury items,” Jake told Mirror.co.uk

He continued: “What’s next? A letter from home after day four? You want to keep things till a bit later because it gives you that boost.

“After a week might have been a bit better because then you get the boost. You get your luxury item and you’re like buzzing that you’ve got just this little bit of luxury. So it did seem a little bit early.”
