The autumn weather has people planning days out, with adventure parks a great choice for the entire family.
One adventure park Brit holidaymakers might not have considered going to is Pullman City Western Town in Germany.
According to the New York Times, the German amusement park was founded in 1997 by a group of residents who’d staged some successful Wild West shows in the area.
Set just two hours south of Munich, Pullman City Western Town stretches across 60 acres and is home to lots of different attractions.
In the Wild West town, visitors will be able to explore authentic saloons, take part in line dancing workshops, and watch live-action shows.
One of those shows includes cowboy fights, while others re-enact scenes from German novels set in the American West.
The shows are exclusively performed in German.
For younger parkgoers, there’s an adventure park complete with a climbing frame, suspension bridge, and slides.
There’s also also a miniature railway, a water playground, an arts and crafts space, and a dancing club.
Other activities include gold panning, walking tours, and character meet-and-greets.
There are also plenty of restaurants at the adventure park, including a music and dance hall where live music acts play on the weekend.
Burgers are served at the Black Bison Saloon, while a range of steaks are served at the Rodeo Steakhouse.
From November 10, 2023, until December 17, 2023, parkgoers will be able to visit the German-American Christmas market.
The adventure park gets good reviews too, with a 4.4/5 star rating from nearly 10,000 reviews on Google.
One person wrote: “This place is like a parallel world. It was lovely! It’s fun to visit, and the environment with live music is fun.”
Another added: “Perfect getaway for the entire family.”
Someone else wrote: “It was an awesome experience, the show that they put on for Christmas is just amazing.”
Tickets for adults cost €16 (£14) while children aged between 4 and 14 cost €5 (£4.38).
Pullman City Western Town is a two-hour drive from Munich, and it’s a three-and-a-half-hour drive from Vienna.
It’s also only a two-hour drive from České Budějovice in the Czech Republic.
Both British Airways and easyJet operate direct flights from UK cities like London and Edinburgh.
Sun Online Travel has found one-way tickets from the UK to Munich for £38.
Holidaymakers can also stay overnight in the adventure park, with a range of accommodation options available.
One of those is the Palace Hotel, which lies in the heart of the adventure park.
Other accommodation options include country houses, log cabins, a holiday park, and tipis.
Meanwhile, a UK theme park is challenging Disney with a huge new waterpark featuring infinity pools, beach, and water slides.
And, Therme Manchester will be a “next generation” park that will offer guests 25 pools, 35 water slides, thermal bathing, and a well-being spa.
