The 19-year-old motor, the third generation of its kind built by Land Rover, sold for the staggering price thanks to its regal connection.

If it wasn’t for its prestigious former owner, it’s thought that a 2004 Range Rover would otherwise sell for £6,000 at most.

Offered at the weekend’s Iconic Auctioneers NEC Classic Motor Show in Birmingham, the luxury SUV went for a winning bid of a staggering £132,750.

The motor even smashed it’s pre-sale estimate too, with Iconic Auctioneers predicting it would make only up to £60,000 ahead of the midlands event.

However, it previously only fetched £30,000 as its former keeper could not verify the connection with her Late Majesty.

The current vendor scoured the internet in a bid to confirm its royal connection and saw the price rocket as a result.

They tracked down video footage of HM Queen Elizabeth II behind the wheel of the car with the number plate clearly visible.

One clip shows the L322 Range Rover with Her Majesty at the wheel while attending a show in 2005.

This proves that the Range Rover was indeed her motor of choice while she stayed at Balmoral in Scotland and Windsor Castle.

And the motor does boast several unusual and unique features that were only offered by the company’s Special Vehicle Operations.

These include a dog guard at the rear and blue lights on the grille, as well as interior handles designed to make it easier for Her Majesty to get into the giant vehicle.

It is finished in Epsom Green paint with Sand Hide leather interior.

Eagle-eyed car experts may also notice a small hole on the bonnet, thought to be where a Labrador mascot was fitted.

Despite being 19-years-old and covering 109,000 miles, the vehicle is said to still be in very good condition.

This comes after a classic 1962 Ferrari 330 LM 250 GTO that’s had just one cautious owner in the last 38 years has sold for a record fee at auction.

One of just 34 ever made, it’s been dubbed the “holy grail” of collector cars.

Meanwhile, drivers realised there’s a “hidden” button in your motor that can keep you safe while you’re out on the road.

The button automatically locks the car in just seconds, helping you stay safely inside.

Elsewhere, motorists were left stunned after discovering a “hidden” bonus feature on their dashboard which defogs mirrors.
