Iconic century-old Nassau hotel the British Colonial is on track to reopen this winter.

It features a comprehensive redesign of its guest rooms, public spaces, amenities, and onsite programs.

The hotel’s 288 newly redesigned rooms, including 25 signature suites, occupy seven floors of the building.

They have marble bathrooms, 50” flat-screen televisions, and desks designed for business travellers.

Upscale room categories include the Prime Minister Suite and One-Bedroom Suites with adjoining parlors.

Additional options include City View, Garden View, Oceanview and Premium Oceanview rooms with very few rooms alike.

British Colonial will feature seven food and beverage outlets.

It houses two beach-facing freshwater outdoor swimming pools overlooking a 300-feet private white-sand beach.

The pool complex includes floating loungers and private cabanas in addition to a deeper plunge pool.

The hotel will also feature more than 18,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, accommodating groups of up to 800 guests.

The British Colonial Nassau features Colonial Revival architecture and decor throughout, with towering chandeliers, original crown mouldings and colorful murals.

The Nassau hotel’s oceanfront location is within easy reach of Nassau Cruise Port, the straw market, convention centres and other beaches.
