In her video, Emma Villaneda (@thecraftedstudioco) told viewers: “I’ve got to share this hack with you.”

She revealed that Dollar Tree has 4-foot Christmas trees available for $5.

The next item on her list was less expected when it comes to festive decorations.

“Here’s the secret, you need a large bucket,” Emma explained to her audience.

She continued: “I went ahead and set the tree up. I’m putting this along the wall so I pushed all the branches forward to make it look fuller.”

For her next step, Emma transformed the $1.25 bucket into a Christmas tree accessory.

“I’m cutting the handles off and then cutting a circle out of the bottom,” she explained.

As she demonstrated the DIY trick, Emma said: “Now you can see where I going with this, we are making a DIY tree collar out of a bucket.”

She explained that she really wanted a gold collar so she used a can of $2.50 spray paint from Walmart to upgrade the black bucket.

“I slid the tree through the hole I cut and reattached the legs,” Emma said.

For her final step, she added some picks throughout the branches and it was ready to decorate.

Emma concluded: “I love this hack for a DIY tree collar, it is a simple way to upgrade this Dollar Tree Christmas tree.”

TikTok users took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the hack.

“I absolutely love this. I already bought the 4-foot tree but didn’t know what to do. I’ll be back to the store to get the extra stuff,” wrote one viewer.

Another follower said: “It makes it look so much more luxurious! The gold was a great touch.”

“Thank you I bought that tree but was thinking about what kind of skirt, I’m doing that now, it’s amazing,” commented a third person.
