The van dwellers discussed some of the unexpected drawbacks of their home now that winter has hit.

In their video, Meebs and her partner Will (@vanonamission) gave a “brutally honest review of van life.”
The couple explained that they have been on the road for just over a month and have enjoyed traveling around Europe.
However, they clarified that their experience is not the same as a vacation.
Meebs said: “Living in a van is hard, the amount of time we’ve spent looking for services is incredible, and looking for park ups.
“A lot of the time you get there and the place is just not appropriate, we sometimes leave a park up really early in the morning and end up getting to our next park up in the evening.”
Meebs pointed out that the colder and shorter days have meant they are confined to their tiny home on wheels for a lot longer.
She explained: “You can’t spend as much time outside so you end up spending a lot of time in a very small space, which can feel claustrophobic.
“I guess it’s been really lonely, we literally have met no one, there’s not really anyone else doing this who is our age.”
Will explained that their lifestyle has also made his remote work a difficult task.
“I’d say I think my part-time job has felt like a full-time job at times just because we end up stopping and starting so much that it’s hard to actually do a solid block of hours,” he said.
The couple also added that between “running and filling up and driving and working” they have little time for relaxation.
TikTok users took to the comments section to share their own experiences with life on the road.
“I’m traveling in my van also but solo and I’ve also found it hard to meet people my age but still loving the experience,” wrote one viewer.
Another follower said: “We spent last year traveling Europe in our van, the constant moving was definitely very tough!!”
“It is hard work, we spent around eight weeks traveling from Norway to Belgium with two kids, I wouldn’t change it for the world,” commented a third person.
