Breaking tradition, a British couple consummated their relationship with the help of one of their closest friends.
Whilst most of us would be pretty peeved about our partner wanting to sleep with other people, Katey and Dan have been ‘exploring’ for some time.
In fact, the pair are self-confessed ‘swingers’ and regularly invite others into the marital bed – according to a recent episode of Love Don’t Judge.
Things initially took a turn in the bedroom when Dan confessed that he wanted to see Katey with ‘another guy’.
Understandably, she was a little taken aback by the unusual request.
“When we first started opening up as a couple, I expected to feel quite jealous seeing him with another woman because that was quite new for me,” Katey explained.
However, she keen to ‘explore’ her bisexuality and felt it would ultimately be ‘more fun together’.
The soon-to-be bride was shocked by how quickly she took to her new lifestyle though.
“The first time I saw him with a woman though, I found it really hot and it’s been great since then,” she admitted.
The kink even became a central part of their wedding day, with the couple sharing their wedding night with one of Katey’s bridesmaids.
“We ended up taking one of my girlfriends up to our bedroom,” she revealed, saying: “We had some drinks and ended up having a threesome with her, it was really fun.”
New husband Dan wasn’t complaining either with the groom stating that it made their special day ‘so memorable’.
However, not everything was picture perfect on their big day as the bride’s family took issue with their alternative lifestyle.
“They disapproved of what I was doing…they blamed Dan and they told me that they thought he was my p**p and that he was convincing me to do it,” said the heart-broken bride.
“I struggled for a long time with the fact that my family didn’t come to my wedding,” she told Love Don’t Judge.
Thankfully, the couple have been able to rely on those dearest to them, including fellow swingers Kirsty and Tom.
Having met at an adult retreat, the foursome ‘hit it off straight away’ and have become closer and closer.
Kirsty, was even the maid of honour on the couple’s big day, which was hugely meaningful the bride.
“I look around the room and I look at the photos and I see how happy everyone was for me for and everyone loves us for who we are,” Katey told the outlet.
Describing it as ‘a normal friendship’ with ‘benefits’, the couples have continued to indulge in their unusual bedroom activities.
They aren’t the only ones though, as a YouGov poll found that 3 per cent of Brits had either been in an open relationship.
Nearly 8 per cent were also open to the idea, as of August 2023.
Well, that’s one way to have a blushing bride.
