Lesley and her real-life husband Eric Pollard actor Chris Chittell have been going strong since their 2016 wedding.
However, the same thing can’t be said for their ITV alter egos as the on-screen couple are on the verge of an explosive breakup next week.
It all begins when Pollard is not acting like himself and lashes out at a baffled Brenda – and, with a little push, she comes to the conclusion that she deserves better.
Shaken and bereft, Brenda cries on the shoulder of village gossip Nicola King (portrayed by Nicola Wheeler).
Despite her tainted reputation, Nicola finally speaks some sense into Brenda as she immediately bolsters her to move on and find another man.
With fire in her heart, Brenda bubbles with anger and decides to follow Nicola’s advice.
Is it too late for Pollard to turn things around?
While things have been mostly smooth sailing for the couple in recent months, their relationship has often been rocky, particularly when Pollard couldn’t choose between Brenda and the late Faith Dingle.
Despite his indecision, Brenda stuck by his side and remained a faithful partner to him.
But could Brenda’s renewed sense of self-worth be enough to break them apart once and for all?
