A man has been charged with murder after bones were discovered in a burnt-out tree trunk in central west NSW.

Police began investigating the suspicious disappearance of David Collisson after he was reported missing in mid-October.
Mr Collisson was last seen at a property on Wilbertree Road in Menah, near Mudgee.
A search of the site on October 25 led strike force detectives to locate the remains, which are believed to be human, a day later.
Police arrested a 33-year-old man on Saturday morning at Maroubra police station in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
They will allege the man fatally shot Mr Collisson at the Menah property over a dispute.
He was charged with murder, acquire firearm subject to prohibition order, acquire ammunition subject to prohibition order, possess shortened firearm (not pistol) without authority, and possess ammunition without holding licence/permit authority.
The man will appear in Parramatta Local Court on Sunday and investigations are continuing.
