The best part? Everything you need for this Halloween DIY can even be picked up at Dollar Tree.
Luna (@louflores_) shared the DIY with over 3.5 million TikTok followers.
The pro DIYer responded to a follower’s request to recreate the viral Lewis jack-o-lantern.
“It’s out of stock and cost $180, please help,” they pleaded.
Luna couldn’t ignore a fan in need, taking an immediate trip to Dollar Tree to assist: “Let’s get it back in stock bestie,” they joked.
Picking up all the supplies they needed, they started by hand-painting skeleton hands orange: “Until they look like chicken feet,” they joked.
They also painted a pumpkin wire reef orange, adding an orange tablecloth over it, then another layer of pumpkin reef, cutting the excess tablecloth off.
Using cable ties, they secured the pumpkins together and moved on to making the jack-o-lantern’s face.
They stenciled and cut out the face until black fabric, then glued it onto the pumpkin.
Stacking Dollar Tree baskets and a paper towel roll, they built an eight-foot structure to rest the pumpkin head on.
Using tape, a clothes hanger, a foam tubes, they attached the chicken feet hands.
They cut up a kids’ Halloween costume, adding it to the “body” frame for structure, adding in a black tablecloth cover and creepy cloth for the finished “outfit.”
People were blown away by the creative look-a-like DIY: “It’s giving ‘we have Lewis at home,’ great job though,” joked one commenter.
“Mom said we got Lewis at home, plot twist: it’s better than the $180 one,” agreed another.
Some with the original jack-o-lantern were upset to see the DIY: “Side eyeing my $180 Lewis that I don’t even turn on so what’s the point,” said one viewer.
